Now I know

A big "Thank You" to Amy Ecklund and all the folks who turned out for the Savvy Seattle Women workshop on Wednesday night. Amy gave us all kinds of interesting and useful information about DIY home maintenance to prevent costly repairs and save us money! For instance, did you know that you should replace the hoses on your washer every couple of years? And do you know how and where to shut off the water and gas to your home in case of emergency? Those are just a couple of things we learned.

Check out the South Seattle Community College catalogue for courses taught by Amy, too. Amy is a professional handywoman in West Seattle. You can find out more about her on her website, www.amyworks.com.

The next free workshop sponsored by Savvy Seattle Women will be on Wednesday, June 15th. Topic: How to Hire a Pro Without Getting Conned.  Find out where to find qualified home service professionals and how to choose the best one for you. More info by calling me at 206-708-9800 or at our website, www.SavvySeattleWomen.com. We have a Facebook page, too, of course. Just type Savvy Seattle Women in the search box... and be sure to Like us!
