Home Loan Rates Remain Low

Interest rates for 30-yr. conventional loans have dipped even lower in recent days. There's no guarantee how long they will stay at these historically low levels, of course, and it's easy to get lulled into believing that they will.

If you are thinking of buying a home, it doesn't get any better than this.

Here is a recap of loan rate activity from loan officer Troy Chambers, of Arboretum Mortgage.

"Once again, we see a rate sheet with the 30 year fixed under 5%. We are actually threatening
4.625%! Please let me know if you know of anyone who is in need of a refinance or new home
purchase financing. I will be available all weekend, so please feel free to call my cell phone at
any time. The number is 425-418-5103."

If you qualify as a first-time homebuyer (meaning you haven't owned a home for at least 3 years)and earn less than $75K/year ($150K for married couples), there's still time to buy a home and claim the $8K tax credit. BUT time IS getting short!
