Here's a quick update on loan rate activity for this week, courtesy of Troy Chambers, Arboretum Mortgage.
"After two weeks of sub 5% mortgages rates, the market has moved and we are now seeing the rates in the mid 5’s. Please remember that credit scores are extremely crucial right now, and even those people with scores from 700-720 are being dinged on their interest rates. It is very important to be working with experienced team members such as appraisers, mortgage brokers and processors, as this is a difficult time. On a positive side … rates are great, prices are down, and spring is coming. That’s a great mix for home sales."
